Following the research showcase, I am thrilled about all the work I have yet to achieve. Situated by the main traffic of attendees, my board drew many guests to concern themselves with my year's work and I was ecstatic. Explaining the research I conducted on manufacturing types, smart materials, and aerodynamics gave me a sense of reflection. Moreover, as I inserted my topic proposal from the beginning of the year, I got to see my goals shift over the months.
While at the research showcase, I was able to visit the other high schools' ISM engineering students and take a look at their products and I was blown away. One student machined a solid Iron Man mask, something that perfectly complemented a Jarvis AI another student created. I saw another product called a Hexbot which seemed to move like the robots in Big Hero 6. Seeing these engineering projects made me realize how much I am obliged to create an adjacently sharp product as my year in ISM finishes off. That being said, I am propelled to put full effort into pursuing my final product.
So, onwards, to my new horizon.
