The Marvel of Mechanical Beginnings

Updated: Sep 5, 2023

Hello world!

That's the first line every coder learned to print regardless of how advanced they were. It was my own first line of code, a humble beginning that set me on a path of discovery exactly two years ago. However, let's put Computer Science aside for a moment because today, I'm here to talk about engineering.

I've had two factors playing into my big research topic of mechanical engineering The first, and undoubtedly the most influential, is the iconic Tony Stark, better known as Iron Man. Sure, Tony Stark may be a fictional character with an IQ that defies belief, but it's his discipline and unwavering drive that truly inspire me. It's not just about the Iron Man suit, but the brilliant mind behind it. Stark's ability to tackle the most complex problems with ingenuity and style is what sets him apart, and that's exactly what I'm striving for in my own journey.

The second factor that has driven my interest in mechanical engineering is my fascination with the intricate yet simple mechanisms that make our world tick. From the spurring of a well-oiled engine to the efficiency of a suspension bridge, I've always been excited by the connection of form and function in mechanical systems. It's these things that I'm super pumped to be part of in this world and become one of the people who make all these amazing things happen. All of that to say, that's why I decided to join the ISM program. It's a place where I can further my passion for engineering, learn from brilliant minds, and develop the skills necessary to make a real impact in the world. Just like Stark, I aim to push boundaries, explore uncharted territories, and leave a lasting legacy through my engineering endeavors. So, here's to trading in lines of code and to embarking on a journey that I know will be nothing short of extraordinary.
