As my year in ISM 1 ends, I'd like to recollect this year's happenings. The best way to follow through on this is by looking at the music-sharing company, Spotify Wrapped: top genre, top songs, and minutes listened.
My top genre, of course, is mechanical engineering. To look a little further, I focused on aircraft, cars, and engines. I'll combine that into a topic, namely transportation technologies. With this focus, I was able to gain foundational knowledge of engineering.
As for my top songs, I was focusing on three pursuits: computer-aided design, engine types, and aircraft functions. Through writing and creating the Original Work and Final Products, I was able to showcase my learnings in those three objectives. Without the projects, I wouldn't have been able to put together all the things I've learned cohesively.
Lastly, taking a look at the minutes listened, I want to reference what Mr. Green, my ISM teacher, shared with our class some time ago. Every single human in the world has the same 24 hours a day and the same 168 hours a week. Every world leader, CEO, student, parent, and child has the same 168 hours, but what matters is what you do with those hours. On that basis, I hope to exploit those hours and do all I can in each minute of the hours. I was able to do that all of this year so far, but I am stoked to see myself continuing those goals.
That's my year in ISM, wrapped!
